A roller shade is a simple machine — the decision that changes your life is the fabric. Three honest categories:
- Blackout — total light stop. Bedrooms, nurseries, media rooms. Pair with a snug fit to kill the light gap at the edges.
- Light-filtering — privacy plus a soft glow. The living-space default.
- Sheer/screen fabrics — keep your view and cut the glare and heat; the openness percentage sets how much you see through. Great for view homes and west-facing glass.
Fascia and cassette options hide the roll for a finished, built-in look — worth seeing in samples.
