Where aluminum wins — and where it doesn’t
- Slimmest sightlines — aluminum’s strength allows frames vinyl can’t match; more glass, less frame, a genuinely modern look.
- Strength for size — big openings and heavy glass? Aluminum carries them without bulking up.
- Thermal honesty — bare aluminum conducts heat; modern thermally-broken frames fix most of it, but vinyl still insulates better per dollar.
- The right buyer — mid-century and modern homes where the aesthetic IS the point. We’ll be straight about whether that’s your house.
“Aluminum is a design decision first and an insulation decision second. We’ll help you make it with open eyes — and Milgard’s aluminum line when it fits.”

Common questions
Do aluminum windows sweat?
Old ones did. Thermally-broken modern frames separate inside metal from outside metal, which controls most condensation in our climate.
Vinyl or aluminum for my remodel?
If slim modern sightlines drive the design, aluminum. If energy per dollar drives it, vinyl. In your home, with samples, the answer usually gets obvious.
